Today is Day 11 – World Book Day ( in UK & Ireland at least)
Books of all sorts have always been a source of much inspiration and enjoyment in my life. The first book that got it’s hooks in me was “The Hobbit” at about the age of 12. I had picked it up at my Aunts house and am still to this day “borrowing” it… This book kept me glued to it and has been re-read so many times that the pages are falling out.
I like to try different styles of books but only get truly lost into fantasy and sci-fi. However I don’t always read the last pages in fear of a terrible ending…
World Book Day is a charity event held annually in the United Kingdom and Ireland on the first Thursday in March. On this day, every child in full-time education in the UK is given a voucher to be spent on books.
“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”
― Dr. Seuss
